Volcanic eruptions in 1995
REGION 16: WEST INDIES
Soufriere Hills: small phreatic explosions began on 19 July, heralding more intense activity in late August and lava dome growth that began in late September. Dome growth with generation of pyroclastic flows continues into 1996. The activity at Soufriere Hills is probably one of the best documented eruptions so far on the WWW.
